Wyoming Weed and Pest Council to Host 78th Annual Fall Conference in Cody
CODY, WY (October 25, 2022) – The Wyoming Weed and Pest Council (WWPC) is excited to announce its 78th Annual Conference. Members of the media are invited to attend the conference starting Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. and ending on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. in Cody, WY.
WWPC is comprised of 23 Weed and Pest Districts in the state of Wyoming. The overall mission is to provide unified support for the integrated management of noxious weeds and pests.
The conference will go over successful and ongoing projects, funding opportunities, continuing education in the weed and pest field, and members will conduct council business as required by state statutes. Additionally, the council will be considering adding the plant palmer amaranth to the state designated weed list.
In addition to the conference, guests can attend a reception at the historic Buffalo Bill Cody Museum, visit the beautiful Yellowstone National Park and try fun attractions during their stay.
