Nation-wide PlayCleanGo Campaign.
Park County Weed and Pest (PCWP) is an active Participant in the PlayCleanGo Campaign. A preventative outreach program centered on encouraging people to get outdoors and enjoy our natural resources but at the same time to be attentive and help stop the spread of invasive species! PCWP recently partnered with the Cody Chapter of the Nature Conservancy and the Wyoming Outdoorsman to purchase and install 22 “boot brush stations” throughout Park County.
These interpretive displays provide information on several key invasive species in the area and provide a place for recreationist to clean their boots from any mud and debris that may have invasive weed seeds in it. This prevents those seeds from being transported to another location and allowing an infestation of those species to be started in an area potentially free from invasive plant species. It only takes a few minutes to do your part and help “Stop Invasive Species in Your Tracks”! Follow the link below to see where these boot brush stations are currently located. You will also see where other signage regarding the PlayCleanGo message are located in the County as well.
